Mpact & Royal Rangers Open Positions and Responsibilities
All of our volunteers must complete an application and undergo a background check.
If you are interested in volunteering with our team, please download the Background Check Form and Adult-Minor Policy Form below. Once the forms are completed, please email them to staff (at) oceansidekidsclubs (dot) com or turn them in at the registration desk on Sunday night.
Chooses units from available curriculum, plans lessons, teaches and prays with students, helps kids work towards achievement program. Plans outside events according to the age group. The focus is on building relationships with the kids as we interact with God’s Word and have LOTS of fun. Training is provided.
Assists Teacher and builds relationship with kids/youth. We love if our helpers can come every week, but we are also glad to have helpers who can commit to a rotation of 1-2x per month.
Teaches a lesson provided by the lead teacher if the lead is not available.
Sundays 5:45-7:45pm (on-call, not a weekly commitment, but we would call you to verify availability when we have a need).
Takes photographs and videos to give to parents and use for promotions, and saves to shared Google Drive file.
Sundays 6-7:30pm Once per month and/or special events
Greets families and assists with check-in as they arrive, hands out name tags, makes sure parents have turned in any paperwork, directs students to the appropriate classroom. Sundays 5:45-7:45pm weekly or rotation.
On-Site First Responder
First-aid certified person (we love to have nurses and corpsmen!) to assist with boo-boos and bandaids, and the rare emergency. Reviews submitted medical release forms to make sure they are complete. Sundays 6-7:30pm, weekly or rotation.
Issues curriculum, badges, and other items to students/parents/teachers and enters records in user-friendly inventory system. Reviews inventory and submits suggested supply order to Directors.
Sundays 5:45 – 7:45pm (or possibly 6:45-7:45pm) weekly or rotation.
Media & Promotions Assistant
Compiles monthly newsletter with information provided by Directors & Teachers and distributes via email and official Facebook group, assists Teachers with creating flyers and permission slips as needed. One person or a team. Not required to attend Sunday nights; this can be done on your own time.
Special Events Volunteers
We are always glad to have volunteers (especially parents) for special events. You might serve as a helper, a camp cook, a sports coach, a hairdresser, a nurse, a photographer, a guest speaker for a career day, etc.
